Future high-end smartphone from OnePlus, the 11 (Pro) is already generating a lot of attention. In addition to Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, it would be one of the first to benefit from UFS 4.0 memory.

Expected at the start of 2023, the OnePlus 11 (Pro) will be one of the smartphones to follow in the first half. OnePlus’ next flagship is already making waves and certain technical characteristics have already leaked. The brand, now very close to Oppo, has also confirmed that it intends to use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 in its flagship. An unsurprising presence for a device that could well be one of the most powerful of the year.

The prolific leaker Digital Chat Station, indicates on Weibo that the OnePlus 11 will be one of the first smartphones to feature the UFS 4.0 memory. An element that buyers do not always look at as a priority, but which nevertheless has a direct impact on general performance. Indeed, this standard will follow on from UFS 3.1 which we find in most high-end devices of the moment. The new standard, presented by Samsung last May, promises much faster transfers and better energy efficiency.

UFS 4.0 offers speeds up to 23.2 Gb/s per channel, or double that of UFS 3.1 which “caps” at 11.6 Gb/s. Another interesting point, Universal Flash Storage 4.0 is also more energy efficient, with an increased efficiency of 46%. Interesting improvements for 5G smartphones, if Samsung is to be believed. We can particularly hope for the best in terms of autonomy.

This support for version 4.0 is made possible by the presence of Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Qualcomm’s new SoC will also be one of the assets of the future OnePlus 11. The manufacturer would add 16 GB of RAM to confirm the high-end orientation of his phone.

    Curved screen and ceramic shell

In addition to shining with its performance, the OnePlus 11 would have a curved screen with AMOLED technology. The manufacturer would also focus on the finishes by offering a ceramic finish on his device. A noble material that is increasingly trendy in the mobile world, already used by Oppo or even OnePlus. We remember the OnePlus X Ceramic and more recently the OnePlus 10 Pro “Panda White” in China.

It will undoubtedly be necessary wait until spring 2023 before officially discovering this smartphone. Note that doubt remains about the real name of this future high-end model. OnePlus could abandon the “Pro” name for its OnePlus 11.
