It is not tomorrow that motorists will be able to converse with their car as David Hasselhoff and KITT did in the famous television series “Knight Rider” (K2000), but voice recognition is among the most marked trends within the automobile industry.
For several years now, tech-savvy motorists have been able to turn to their car when they want to listen to music, adjust the air conditioning or find their way. No need to take your eyes off the road, just ask and the car obeys.
Voice recognition and other sophisticated technologies are expected to catch on in the coming months and years as automakers compete to satisfy consumers’ appetite for connected cars.
